In less than two weeks I’ll be having the event I tried to have right before Covid changed the world. That’s right, the event we canceled more times than I would like to admit, is happening on March the 25th. We’ve been working hard to make sure this Mystery Art League event is as fun as possible.
If you aren’t familiar with what I’m talking about, The MAL is an interactive art event where guest help solve a mystery/ solve riddles/ find clues/ from within the artwork on display. Those that are successful in completing the task are rewarded with a prize. Each event we create comes with different artwork and a different storyline. Prizes vary from Fine Art Prints to Gift Cards to dinner, or any other variety of items. You can watch videos about our event on our MAL YouTube channel.
If this sounds fun, drop by the Mystery Art League website for more details and ticket link. I think we have something that will appeal to a large variety of patrons and is perfect for date night or team building. This event is March 25th at Two Rivers Mansion.
While I’ve spent most of my time preparing for the MAL, I’m also working on some new work for an upcoming exhibit with Four Artist TN. This will be held in Knoxville, TN at the Emporium Art Center. we have some really cool pieces to share for this exhibit. Over the last two years we created some loose guidelines on some subjects and then each of us took those guidelines and interpreted it in our own medium. One example is that we each arranged a pineapple, coffee cup, and a book on a cloth. we then used our own arrangement for reference in our own painting medium. The Four Artist consist of myself, Mike a master printmaker, Susan who paints in oil and acrylics, and Emily who paints and draws in several media. You can see more on our FaceBook or Instagram page.
I’m thankful for all that take time to read my updates. One day I’ll see about being more consistent. Until then, make sure and click on my social channels and give a follow. I’m. much better about updating FB & IG. I’ll see you next time, and hopefully at my next event:) Talk soon! RLP
