As usual I’m a little behind on my blog post. You know, life gets busy. I’m fortunate that I’ve been able to stay busy with a lot of creative and fun activities. With that said, I’ll keep this post kinda short.
One of the things that keeps me busy is figuring out how to grow the Mystery Art League into a fun and engaging event. The Franklin Art Crawl has been a great space to test our concept and make the needed changes for the next. If you’re in the Middle TN area, make sure and go to Franklin and play our game. We are in our second month of three, and will have a drawing for the second print later this week. The final drawing will be early in December. Get all those details at mysteryartleague.com. We are continually working to create new games, including some that will be through our social media. As soon as I get the point system figured out I’ll be posting more about that. That idea will also be added to the website and sent through the newsletter too, so make sure and sign up and follow us on all social platforms.
As for my studio time, I’ve been working steadily on new paintings. I’ve replenished The Copper Fox Gallery with some new bee paintings. They go so fast! I’m already waxing more panels for more of the smaller bee paintings:) I have a few commission pieces in the works. I think I have three I’m trying to complete before the end of the year. There’s also a few paintings I’m working on for the Four Artist TN show coming up in May 2022. One of those pieces is the one on this post. This is a painting of a stream from a hike to Mt. Cammerer in the Smoky Mountains.
I guess I’ll end it with wishing you and you family a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! I know I’ll enjoy a little time outdoors after stuffing my belly with some good food:) Sincerely, RLP
