Hello everyone! I’m slowly getting things wrapped up from Artclectic. I had another wonderful time at the University School of Nashville showing my work along with about 50 other artist. This is a fundraiser for the school, and it’s done so well it brings patrons from all over. I’ve always done well at this show and this year was no different. If you are in the Nashville area, or close, I highly recommended going to next years event. It’s well worth it as an artist or a collector:)
One of the things I love about Artclectic is getting to share my process with the students. On Friday morning of the event, students of all ages make there way from artist to artist learning about the art and how its made. They ask some of the best questions too:) Of course, I also explain my process to the patrons during the three day event. I could recite every step in my sleep. It’s alway fun seeing the reactions of those listening and then hearing what they thought my process was. After all this excitement I am wore out, both mentally and physically. So Sunday I didn’t do much of anything, and today, Monday, I delivered a painting and ran an couple errands before getting back to the studio.
Im in the studio this week. I’ll be working on a couple of commissions and after that I plan to take a little time to play in the garage, with some other media. I’ve been collecting a lot of new ideas and need to play with materials to see what direction I might go. I hope to come up with a lot of cool work. If so, I’ll make sure and share in my next blog post and on my social media pages. So be on the look out.
Thank you for following along. I hope you find something of interest in my blog post or in my paintings. If you have any comments or questions please feel free to reach out by email. Until next time, take care! RLP
