Artclectic 2023 was another amazing experience!
I’ve always loved how well the University School of Nashville puts together this unique event. It’s great for both the patrons and the artist. The patrons get to see a diverse pool of artist, including emerging artists and well know artist of the region. And the Artist are treated to a beautiful setup for displaying their creations and exposed to patrons that truly love interacting with the art and the artist.
Another thing I love about this event is “education day.”
On Friday of the event the students are brought through the exhibit and introduced to the artist. The artist are then able to talk about their art, process, influence, etc.. The students are of all ages and very curious. I’m always amazed at the great questions they ask and the details they notice in the artwork.
As an artist that done several exhibits, I’m always impressed with the quality of this event. I would compare it to having a solo gallery show. It’s fun to be in the spotlight as a creative, even when you are one of about 50:) If you didn’t get to attend this years event, make sure to be there next year. Here’s a link to the event page where you can stay informed: Artclectic.
Artsclamation coming up in December.
This is another group show that brings in patrons to support the artist while also supporting a good cause. This event is put together by Covenant Health and supports Peninsula hospital. Peninsula provides behavioral health services.
This will be my second time participating. Last year was a great success and I’m sure this year will be just as fun. Find out more about the organization and show details in this link: Artsclamation2023
New Bees!
As I was preparing for Artclectic and Artsclamation I was also creating new bees for The Copper Fox Gallery in Leipers Fork. If you’re in the Franklin, TN area make sure and drop by the Copper Fox and see all the beautiful art. I love being included in such an eclectic gallery. New Studio in progress!!
One last note; My new studio has a roof! I drove by the other day and they were busy putting the roof on the new space. It’s so exciting seeing my studio slowly get completed. I can’t wait to get moved into it and dive into new work inspired by the view out my studio window:)
That’s all for now. I hope you have a great week. I’ll be busy putting together some new videos for my YouTube channel and working on new paintings. I’ll try to get back here soon to share the progress. If there is something about my process or experience as an artist you’d like to know more about, please send me a message. I love sharing what I do!
Best,
RLP
